Introduction
My name is Sam Speck. I am 17 years old and I go to Roosevelt High School. I live in Des Moines, Iowa. I enjoy discussing subjects that concern how the universe works and how we try to explain our existence. I'm identified in reading as a Tier 3. I have one older brother named Sage. He's 19 and goes to Iowa State University. I have a black cat named Ruby. I currently work at Godfather's Pizza. Some of my hobbies include skating, soccer, drawing, and playing video games with friends. One of my strengths is determination, while one flaw is heavy procrastination.
I added this class to my schedule because my mom and my GT correspondent both were very keen on me taking it for a long time. I specifically added the Question Reality! course because I been intrigued by the illusion of reality and how scientists interpret it. I want to find out the scientific reasoning for why everything is the way it is, or if there even is an explanation. I hope to learn of the philosophy of our purpose on Earth and how we as humans interpret our existence outside of my own perspective.
Taking this class will hopefully assist me in repairing my work ethic due to it being mostly being my responsibility to learn new information. ELS class has the potential to get me ready for college and the challenge of taking care of my own learning. Learning online is something that will be critical in a college education in the future and I desire to get that skill down before I get to a University. I specifically chose this course because I hope to gain a better understanding of the scientific method when it concerns the universe and reality. I'm interested in the true nature of reality if its available for humans to interpret yet.

We can work on your procrastination a bit in this class so you are ready to be an autonomous learner by college! I think you picked a great course. I am excited to hear about the new learning.
