- Early philosopher's ideas regarding how the way reality works often times incorporated a mythological approach
- If something couldn't be explained, it would often times just be explained by creating stories for why things happen such as gods or creation stories
- Many Greek philosophers' ideas were taken as fact for short times due to the lack of realistic or logical ideas at time of their conception
- Most influential Greek philosophers had theories regarding the cosmos
- Aristotle, Plato, Copernicus impacted astrology and people's worldview
- Aristotelian model remained the standard for astrology and our existence for hundreds of years

- The model regarded Earth as the center of the universe and everything revolved around it
- Until Galileo invented the telescope, all astrology was done with the naked eye
- Aristotle believed that four classical elements make up everything in the terrestrial spheres: earth, air, fire and water
- It was firmly believed that all the planets were encapsulated within crystal spheres that moved the planets
- Tycho Brahe’s observations shattered the Aristotle's theories and corroborated Copernicus’ Sun-centered view of the solar system
